Rhino Records, also known as Rhino, is a renowned music label that was established in 1973 by Richard Foos. Starting as a record store in Westwood California, Rhino quickly gained recognition with its first successful release "Go To Rhino Records" by Wild Man Fischer in 1975. The label's early logo featured "Rocky the Rhino" and focused on novelty, surf, local new wave bands, and reissues of out-of-print records from other labels.

Under the guidance of Bill Inglot for production, Ken Perry for mastering, and A&R team Gary Stewart and James Austin, Rhino expanded its catalog to include a wide range of reissues by the mid-1980s. The label underwent a logo redesign during this time period to simply "Rhino". In 1984, Rhino released its first CD and became known for manufacturing high-quality CDs made by Sanyo (1984-85) and various manufacturers from Japan or Switzerland thereafter.

In 1985, Rhino entered into a distribution deal with Capitol Records which lasted until 1992. This partnership allowed access to Capitol's back catalog and led to the release of reissues of old Capitol albums. Additionally, EMI and Rhino acquired the Roulette family of labels in 1989. As their deal with Capitol came to an end in 1992, Time-Warner offered an opportunity for growth. Half of the label was sold to Time-Warner

A Brazilian metal band founded in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, *Sepultura* has become one of the most famous thrash/death metal bands in the world. With their first stable recording line-up established in 1985, including Max on guitar/vocals, Igor on drums, Jairo T. on lead guitar, and Paulo Jr. on bass, this "classic" line-up remained together until 1996 when Max Cavalera left the band over a disagreement. Derrick Green took over vocals in 1998.

Since their formation, *Sepultura* has been considered one of Brazil's most famous cultural exports. Their intense and aggressive sound has garnered them a dedicated fan base worldwide. Influenced by various genres such as punk rock and hardcore music, they have crafted a unique style that blends heavy riffs with powerful lyrics.

Despite lineup changes throughout the years, including Igor Cavalera leaving the band in 2006 due to differences with other members, *Sepultura* continues to create groundbreaking music. They have inspired numerous artists within the metal genre and have influenced bands like *Cavalera Conspiracy*, *Soulfly*, and many others listed among their similar artists.

Sepultura was founded in 1983 by the brothers Max and Iggor Cavalera with Wagner Lamounier and Jairo Guedes. Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. joined just a few short months later and in 1987, with the departure of Jairo and addition of guitarist Andreas Kisser, the solid line up of Sepultura was final. The band quickly became an influential force in heavy metal music thanks to its dynamic studio recordings and intense live performances selling nearly 20 million albums worldwide. The band was in the midst of a creative and commercial peak in 1993 when it released Chaos AD with Max Cavalera on vocals and guitar, Andreas Kisser on guitar, Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr on bass and Iggor Cavalera on drums. The record ushered in a more groove-based sound on songs like the singles Refuse / Resist, Territory and Slave New World. Chaos AD: Expanded Edition includes a newly remastered version of the original album along with 17 bonus tracks. Among the highlights are a cover of Black Sabbath’s Symptom Of The Universe that was originally issued as a B-side, plus nine scorching live versions of album tracks like Territory and Biotech Is Godzilla. Also featured are several unreleased instrumental tracks that the band used during rehearsals for Clenched Fist and Propaganda.
