Bang! is a Spanish independent record label based in Santurtzi, Spain. Established in 1997/1998, it has been founded and managed by two talented individuals. The label is known for its dedication to promoting unique and diverse music from various genres. With the support of Munsterama, Bang! has successfully marketed and distributed numerous albums by *artists* who have gained recognition for their exceptional talent and creativity.

An Australian garage rock band, The Celibate Rifles, was formed in 1979 by a group of friends at a suburban Sydney high school. The guitar duo of Kent Steedman and Dave Morris has been with the band since its early days, contributing to every era. Known for their energy, humor, and disregard for fashion trends, the band emerged as a true garage band in a sea of carports. Damien Lovelock took over vocal duties from the first singer Ian in 1980/81 and remained the lead singer until his passing in August 2019.

Over the years, The Celibate Rifles had some changes in their rhythm section. Michael Couvret played bass from 1979 to 1982 and then again from 1984 to 1986 and from 2001 to 2011. James Darroch held the bass position from 1982 to 1984 before sadly passing away in March 1986. Rudy Morabito joined as bassist from 1986 to 1988, followed by Jim Leone who played bass from 1988 to2001 and then returned again from2011to2019.

The drummers for The Celibate Rifles also saw some variations throughout their career. Phillip Jacquet handled drums between1979and19986.Paul Larsen Loughhead took over drumming dutiesfrom19`86to1991andthenagainfrom200

The Celibate Rifles were well known for their iconic and unusual versions of songs that inspired or horrified them and sometimes even recorded them. The first 5 songs are from a 1985 session that was planned as a cover album but did not come to fruition in the end. These themes are all the ones that went the furthest. Demos and preliminary mixes to later add and finish. That never happened live on studio recordings; the lead vocal was recorded on other sessions. 'Hot Stuff' is a recreation of The Rifles from a classic record and I'm Gonna Try was the last session the band recorded with just a leading voice, but it was the last session Damien sang in the studio before he became unwell and could not complete the session. These songs are all unreleased versions except 'Six Days ...' sung with Barry Crocker which was on a 4 ZZZ radio fundraising album. Any other song repeated in some other album or compilation is a different mix or take than the one with Extract from The Fungus. This album is an offering to fans in appreciation for their support throughout the years rather than something to further the band's career. The Celibate Rifles sadly no longer exist, but they allow this to remember and maintain the legacy of the 40 years that they entertained and took on the world. More previously unreleased songs and covers are likely to be released soon. Limited edition of 500 copies.
