London soul band The Foundations stormed to a UK Number 1 with their first PYE single, Baby Now That I Found You in 1967. Early in 1968, vocalist Clem Curtis left to be replaced by the excellent Joe E. Young of The Toniks. The band scored two huge worldwide hits that year with Build Me Up Buttercup (co-written by Mike dAbo) and In The Bad, Bad Old Days.
