RILLS grew up in the Turin music scene in the late 90s. Influenced by house and techno legends like Ron Hardy and Jeff Mills, he started his DJ career and became a resident at Xplosiva Dj. He has played alongside renowned artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Akufen, and Zip. RILLS has released tracks on respected international labels like 8bit, All Inn, Esperanza, Off Records, and In Haus Wax. His diverse DJ sets range from sexy and romantic to colder and more minimal, always blending elements of techno and house.
As a resident of We Play The Music We Love in Turin's best Friday night spot and Doctor Sax's historical after hour party, RILLS is deeply rooted in the local music scene. He has also performed at famous festivals including Club to Club, Movement, Robot Festival, as well as internationally in cities like New York, Amsterdam Berlin Moscow Barcelona London.
RILLS' talent extends beyond Italy with his tracks being played by notable artists such as Raresh Daniel Bell Dyed Soundorom Steve Bug Cassy among others. With an impressive discography under his belt including collaborations with Ekkohaus,his latest EP was released in December 2013.

Lincoln’s rising indie trio The Rills release their brand new single Skint Eastwood, the band’s first release via their freshly inked deal with Nice Swan Records (home to early releases from Sports Team, Fur, Feet and more). Raucous and whip-smart in equal measure, Skint Eastwood tells the story of local outcasts, distant in their family lives and chastised by their communities.

“Skint Eastwood is a Lincoln loner. He’s a BMX bandit who lurks the streets for affection, be it by begging, stealing or borrowing” explains frontman Mitch Spencer. “Suburban life gives way to people like Skint Eastwood, kids with nothing but the change in their pockets and the rucksack on their backs - cycling into oblivion as much as they are crying out for help. There’s something familiar about that old cowboy cliche; a hard exterior crossed with a soft and vulnerable interior is easily used to describe the lost boys and girls of our generation.”

If you can take the band out of Lincoln, then you can’t take the keen eye for wayward characters and hometown anti-heroes out of the band, and nor should you want to. Having spent the past 18 limbo months cultivating a fervent online following (their joke-filled TikTok currently stands at a not-too-shabby 4 million likes) and huge performances at Reading and Leeds Festival under their belts, now The Rills are ready to pick up that mantle and run with it.
