Cindytalk

Formed in 1982 in Edinburgh, Cindytalk is an experimental music project led by Cindy Sharp. Originally formed by Cindy Sharp and David Clancy from the remnants of Scottish punk band The Freeze, Cindytalk has since collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Cocteau Twins, Kathy Acker, and Chris Connelly. Their ever-shifting lineup incorporates sampling, musique concrète, and electronics alongside disintegrating rock structures. With releases on labels such as Midnight Music and Editions Mego, Cindytalk continues to push boundaries within their fluid experimental framework.

Cindytalk's sound is hard to categorize due to their incorporation of various genres and styles. Their work spans across sampling, musique concrète, electronics, and more traditional rock structures. Led by Cindy Sharp as the only consistent member of the group's changing lineup over the years, Cindytalk consistently delivers live performances and regular releases that captivate audiences.
