Slim Cessna's Auto Club

Slim Cessna’s Auto Club is a goth-country punk band that formed in 1992 in Denver, CO. Led by Slim Cessna, the band's music combines elements of Hank Williams and the Misfits to create a dark and weird sound. The lineup includes key member Jay Munly, who contributes songwriting, vocals, guitar, and banjo.

The band's music encompasses country blues, gospel, folk, and other Americana styles. Their unique blend of apocalyptic religious imagery with stories of alcohol, violence, and troubled relationships has earned them the label of Southern Gothic.

With roots in The Denver Gentlemen alongside David Eugene Edwards and Jeffery-Paul of 16 Horsepower fame, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club has established themselves as an influential force in alternative country music.
