Steve Starlust

Steve Starlust is a renowned proto-punk/glam vocalist and guitarist from Long Island, NY. He fronted the band Starlust, also known as The Steve Starlust Band, during the 1970s-1980s. Later on, he formed The Grapplers, a wrestling-themed group consisting of the same members except for the guitarist who was replaced by Brian Unger. Although both bands only released one 7" single each, Starlust recorded an LP for Capital (USA) / EMI (England) that unfortunately never saw the light of day due to a financial dispute between the labels and their manager. Both groups showcased their talents in NYC and The Grapplers even embarked on an east coast tour of the USA.
