AFI, short for "A Fire Inside," is a hardcore/punk-influenced rock band hailing from Ukiah, California. Originally formed in 1991 while the members were still in high school, the band consists of Davey Havok on vocals, Markus Stopholese on guitar, Vic Chalker on bass, and Adam Carson on drums. After a brief hiatus in 1993 due to attending different colleges, AFI regrouped and continued their musical journey. Over the years, there have been changes in the lineup with Geoff Kresge replacing Vic Chalker and Hunter Burgan taking over for Geoff Kresge. Additionally, Jade Puget joined as a replacement for Markus Stopholese.
With their raw energy and powerful sound, AFI has made a significant impact on the music scene since their inception. Their unique blend of punk and rock elements sets them apart from other bands in the genre.
