Tommy Bolin (August 1, 1951 – December 4, 1976) was an American guitarist and songwriter known for his contributions to rock and fusion music. He played with bands such as *Zephyr*, *James Gang*, and *Deep Purple*, while also pursuing a successful solo career and working as a session musician. Despite his talent, much of Bolin's discography remained unreleased or out of print until years after his untimely death at the age of 25 due to a drug overdose.

Born in Sioux City, Iowa on August 1, 1951, Tommy Bolin displayed exceptional guitar skills from an early age. His unique style blended elements of rock and fusion, making him stand out among his contemporaries. Bolin's collaborations with iconic bands like *James Gang* and *Deep Purple* showcased his versatility as a musician.
